From 1854 to 1859, there was a “small civil war” in America. The two factions in this civil war were Pro-slavery advocates vs. Anti-slavery advocates. Both sides wanted to control the new territory of Kansas to decide whether or not it would enter the Union as a free state or a slave state. A staunch anti-slavery leader named John Brown was seen as a hero. However, pro-slavery advocates saw John Brown as a deadly terrorist. As the saying goes, history is written by the victors. This conflict lasted 7 years. So, the question must be asked: Are we seeing another Bleeding Kansas but since this time, we are in the middle of it, we just can’t see it? And just like Slavery was the spark that lit the Civil War, could abortion be the spark to yet another American Civil War?
SIGNS OF BLEEDING
Since the presidential victory of Donald Trump, those on the Left have exhibited what can only be described as a demonic obsession for power. After lying for 5 years that Donald Trump was a Russian agent, they still won’t let it go. Democrats never ask the question: What was so bad about Barack Hussein Obama, that made Trump look so appealing to middle America? Instead, the Left insists conservatives want to hand out guns to kids, are transphobic, anti-gay, and long for the good-old days of slavery. President Joe Biden took it even further essentially calling those who supported Donald Trump domestic terrorists.
SPEAKING FOR THOSE WITHOUT A VOICE
In many ways, today, we find our nation in the same precarious pickle as it was back in the late 1850s. We have groups like Jane’s Revenge terrorizing those with whom they disagree. Recently, the group has been issuing warnings of violence should the leaked draft of the pending Roe vs. Wade decision actually be enacted.
Typically, when groups like Jane’s Revenge pop up, I pay them little attention because the DOJ and the FBI will rush in and put an end to those threats. As I write this, I no longer have confidence that our DOJ or FBI will execute the laws of the land with regard to the Left’s unlawful activities. In fact, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland has not lifted a finger to prevent or punish those protesting outside Supreme Court Justices’ homes. The law in this matter is clear.
Despite this, former press secretary Jen Psaki said the White House “encourages” the protests. The problem with the White House condoning the protest is that it is against federal law. Title 18 Sec. 1507 is Evian-water clear:
Yet, neither the White House, DOJ nor the FBI are doing anything to stop the protests.
HOW FAR ARE THEY WILLING TO GO?
On another front, America now has political prisoners. Unless your head has been buried in mud, the made-for-TV political mini-series called “The January 6 Commission Hearings” are patently devised to make sure that Donald Trump and his allies never show their faces in Washington D.C. again, much less run for office. Some of the political prisoners are being held in solitary confinement. Why? They were alleged to have been trespassing on U.S. Capitol grounds when in fact a large percentage of the January 6 participants were waved into the Capitol by the Capitol Police.
Also, in this mini-series, only one side of the political aisle is being prosecuted. So although the made-for-TV special looks like a trial, it is anything but. It’s more like the Salem Witch trials: if you demand a glass of water (your Constitutional rights) while in solitary confinement, that proves that you are, in fact, a Witch. Or, in this case, a Trump supporter.
On yet another front, we have a willing media that will only cover one side of the political debate. In fact, when an assassination attempt was made on Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s life, neither CNN, ABC, CBS nor NBC thought it was newsworthy. They gave it ZERO coverage. So if you are someone who gets most of your news from these so-called “news outlets” it’s highly unlikely you even heard of the assassination attempt. Meanwhile, they provide breathless coverage of the made-for-TV series “The January 6, Insurrection.”
THE BOTTOM LINE
When unelected bureaucratic officials from agencies such as Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the Department of Justice side with one political party to the exclusion of the other, we no longer have a functioning Democratic Republic. When those same agencies are allowed to surveil and imprison their political enemies with impunity, we no longer have a people being judged by the equal application of the law.
When the Supreme Court finally hands down its ruling on the flawed Roe vs. Wade, this country will be split in two. And groups like Jane’s Revenge will start riots and target Christian groups and churches. Kansas is bleeding. The only question is, will our government encourage the assaults, or take steps to stop them? I fear it will be the former.
