Twitter—the Preferred Weapon of Choice in the Culture War
Why Elon Musk is fighting to restore free speech around the globe.
Why is the Democratic establishment so against Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter? Is it about money or something far more valuable? Why would a Saudi Arabia prince refuse Elon’s offer? The answer is simple, Elon will restore free speech. And, free speech is the indispensable currency of a functioning Democracy.
Let’s answer the biggest question first, is it about the money? No, it isn’t. When Musk made his offer to buy 100% of Twitter, the stock price was around $30 a share. Elon offered to buy it at $54.20 per share. That’s a net gain by any calculation, even Core math. So, what gives?
The answer is simple, Twitter is not a thriving company with a great financial upside. In fact, Goldman Sachs listed Twitter as a bad stock to purchase. So, why is the Left making an uproar over a business that is not profitable? Here’s what they are not telling the people. Twitter is the hose through which the news cycles flow. That’s the real reason the Democrats are screaming about a Billionaire buying their platform. The Left’s current ability to shut down debate and news stories they don’t like is the real worth Twitter offers.
The above Leftists news outlet Recode, tells you why Twitter is a hot commodity:
“Twitter may not be a great business, but it can buy you power and influence.”
That’s what Twitter offers—power and influence. Typically, the Left uses Twitter to destroy opposing political views from the Hunter Biden laptop story to Alex Jones. Side Note: Alex Jones was instrumental in the election of Donald Trump in the 2016 election. So banning someone like Jones was essential to calling Trump a racist, with no evidence and no pushback, and Jones being banned from the platform, who could say otherwise?
Did Democrats yell foul when Billionaire Jeff Bezos purchased the Washington Post? No. That’s your answer, it’s not about who owns a news platform, it’s about what they will do once they own it. To understand why that’s so important, let's go back to the 2020 presidential election. Had Jack Dorsey not interfered by censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story, Joe Biden, in all likelihood would have never won the White House. In other words, Twitter’s present worth is not monetary. Twitter’s worth is in its ability to censor speech. Twitter’s worth is in its ability to shut down news stories that don’t align with the Democratic Machine of Washington D.C.
Right now, the government is going after Elon. Both the SEC and the DOJ are starting a probe into Elon’s other businesses like Tesla and Space X. Why would the DOJ all of a sudden launch a probe into Musk? Because the game is rigged. Because the White House, the DOJ, and the SEC understand Twitter’s real worth in the political field. However, they are playing a dangerous game. If Twitter does not accept Musk’s gainful offer to the shareholders, it could open Twitter’s Board up to risk. Why? Because Board members are bound by a fiduciary duty to the shareholders to act in their best interests. If this goes to litigation, Twitter would have to reveal inner memos and odious practices, such as Shadow Banning among others.
DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE $$ SIGNS
Ever wonder who owns the New York Times or Time magazine? Most do not. Democrats are counting on that ignorance. They would have you believe that The New York Times is a newspaper that reports on the facts. The same goes for the Washington Post, CNN, and MSNBC. So when Democratic activists write hit pieces on Republicans, it comes off as non-partisan facts. The truth, however, is the polar opposite. These so-called newspapers are nothing more than propaganda machines used by one political party—the Democrats.
THE DRUG OF CHOICE
The press, AKA Blue Check journalists on Twitter never had to worry about their stories being challenged. They can write the most outrageous Tweet, and no one could question them because they were on the “right side” of the debate. When Dave Rubin from the Rubin Report tweeted that booster shots were coming due to the efficacy of the COVID vaccines, Twitter suspended him. Not too long after that, the CDC announced that booster shots were going to be needed indeed they would be mandatory.
THE BOTTOM LINE
If Elon Musk can successfully purchase Twitter, and take it private, free speech and the free flow of information would be restored not only to the U.S. but to the nations around the world. So when you hear that Twitter wants “healthy conversations” that is a lie. The fact that the Ayatollah of Iran is allowed to Tweet, but Donald Trump isn’t, is your first clue. With the November Midterm elections coming up, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook will be the mediums through which most Americans will get their national news. Now you know why Elon Musk taking Twitter private and restoring free speech is so important. With billionaires like Jeff Bezos, Mark Benioff, and Laurene Powell Jobs, information is power. Controlling the unbiased and accurate news narrative is of the utmost power. Killing fact-based stories that are unfavorable to a political party in power is destructive to freedom of choice. Like Elon Musk said, “I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy.” In short, I am not just rooting for Elon, I’m rooting for free speech. How about you?
